Heyo, I am Mike and will be playing Joxxer, a drunken monk who may have a deal with a devil. He tries to keep to himself but mainly because his family is well known for their wines. His family did not agree with his suggestions for improving their wine and was essentially sent off to live with the monks. He found beer. That was all she wrote! Or is it?
Providing Our DM does not viciously end you in a cruel twist of fate, what kind of person will we find Joxxer to be?
Mike: Well… Joxxer is independent to the point of being almost a brat. He cares about his obtaining knowledge above all else. However, he is a bit of a mixed bag of emotions and seems to find his instincts pushing him to help others…Although his biggest interest in others is using them as guinea pigs for his brew! So, you will see him with 5 to 6 bottles on his person at most times.
How is Joxxer similar and different to you?
Mike: Joxxer and I both enjoy a good beverage and trying to find the best of the best in anything. I feel that he is a bit more forward and patient then I am. I can waste a lot more time being methodical as he is much more apt to jump on a beast and find a weak point. You will find that I describe a lot of his mannerisms because I feel like we react very similarly to each other in circumstances, at least facially and physically.
Is it easy to roleplay as Joxxer?
Mike: I think for the most part it is easy to roleplay for Joxxer. I can mostly visualize everything he is doing as if I am watching a movie. My problem is that I have not been able to fully develop the accent for him… Hopefully that gets better as we continue playing though.
Any fun or surprising facts about you yourself?
Mike: Oh gosh… Obviously it being 2020 there is a lot less going on. My wife and I got married at a renaissance fair in 2018… I assume that is a pretty fun fact… Blaise (Krigs) was my best man and that was quite a blast. Other than that… I’ve had the same cell phone # since… 2003…
What would be the perfect weekend for Joxxer? No spoilers.
Mike: Oh jeeze…. Joxxer would love to sit back at his own tavern with his friends and watch his family fall in love with the variety of beautiful flavors and aromas that fills his drinks. Or maybe find a huge patch of super rare ingredients so that he can dabble and test all the drinks he could brew. Beyond that he would also just enjoy sitting back in a tavern waiting for someone to challenge him to a drinking contest only to find a new friend after the event. The more knowledge and the more brew in his life, the better.
